It was on a hot autumn night,
When by my window appeared a bright light.
I cowered in the corner to try and get away,
But then a voice from the light began to say,
"Don't worry, don't be afraid my child,
I bring you news of something really wild".
"You are to have a baby from your virgin womb,
Something that's to happen really soon,
You are to give Him the name Jesus,
He is to be the Saviour for all of us",
Then the angel was gone again,
Since then I have never been the same.
Nine months later I had a son,
And He really was a beautiful one,
He grew up to be a wonderful man,
One who did more than any other man,
He was crucified to set men free,
He died for you and me.
